People who know what stage of life they’re in

Here you filter by whether someone has children, whether they want them, and whether they’re looking for something serious or aren’t sure yet.

The questions are about how your life is, not what you like: how you’d rather start and how often you’d like to meet at first. And you can mark up to 3 things that aren’t negotiable for you. We won’t show you anyone who doesn’t match you on those.

You can’t filter by profession or by how much someone earns: those fields don’t exist on elsilencio. Height shows on the profile, but you can’t filter by it.

What you’ll find

No one gets in without showing who they are

It’s not a box you tick. It’s your ID document and a selfie, checked before your profile is visible to anyone. That’s also how we confirm everyone is over 18.
Every photo is yours

Every image you upload is compared with the selfie from your verification. Always, not just the first time. No one can post someone else’s face, and your main photo has no filters.
Break the rules and you don’t come back

Here, a ban is final. Biometric verification stops anyone from creating another account under a different name or email.
Serious decisions are made by people

A permanent ban is decided by 2 people on our team, with evidence, and it can be appealed. No automated system or group of reports can remove someone on its own.

This will take longer than you expect

The process requires your ID and takes a few minutes.

We do it because it’s the only way to keep what we promise. If you’re looking for something quick, this isn’t the place.

Verified doesn’t mean exposed

We know who you are. Others see what’s needed, nothing more.

You choose your name.: Your profile shows what you want to be called, not the name on your ID.
No one sees your ID.: It isn’t published or shared, and no one on the platform sees it, including our team.
You can leave out people who live nearby.: Choose a distance and we won’t show you anyone within it, so you don’t run into neighbours or coworkers. On every plan.
Emails that don’t say what they’re about.: They come from elsilencio with a subject line that doesn’t describe the content. Nothing revealing on a lock screen.
Your data isn’t sold.: And we don’t show third-party ads.

No one will mass-message you

Starting a conversation has a cost and a daily limit. Anyone who writes to everyone runs out of conversations before they get to you.

And some behaviour gets no second chance: asking you for money, harassing you, sending you sexual content you didn’t ask for. Anyone who does that is out for good.

Reporting takes a moment and is reviewed by a person on our team, not just an automated system. We never tell anyone it was you.

What you won’t find

No swiping.: It’s not a catalogue to flick through.
No timers.: Conversations don’t expire. No one rushes you.
No online status.: We don’t show when someone is on their phone. Or when you are.
No exact distance.: We show your district, never how many metres away someone is.
No nudges to come back.: We write when something happens that matters to you, like someone writing to you. Never to bring you back.
No reward for logging in every day.: Opening the app daily doesn’t move you up in search results.

Each of these decisions costs us something. We make them anyway.

Browsing, being visible and replying are free. Always.

You only pay to start new conversations. Each month includes some at no cost, and if you need more, there are plans.

Plans differ by what they let you do. Never by gender.

We charge because a free platform fills up with people who aren’t looking for the same thing.

The day you meet someone here, you close your account, and we won’t offer you a discount to stay.

It seems obvious to us, and almost no one does it.
